A 3D printed bodykit to build a model of Manning Wardle 16” outside cylinder 0-6-0STs similar to ‘Merevale’ (later ‘John Robert’) and ‘Adjutant’.

This kit comes with the components to build either loco, the key difference being the chimney (2 chimneys are provided in the kit).

‘Adjutant’ was built in 1917 as Works No. 1913 and worked at Cannock & Rugeley Colliery.
’Merevale’ was built in 1916 as Works No. 1891 and originally worked at Baddesley Colliery.

This kit was designed by Adam White to fit the Hornby Peckett B2 chassis.

The kit is supplied in 3 main separate components to make sanding, paint preparation and detailing as easy as possible. This is because the 3D printing process, while being able to capture excellent detail, inevitably will have tiny layers on the surface which need to be sanded smooth wherever possible. We have found it easiest to paint all components separately and then glue together during final assembly.

Short Handrail knobs x 11, Long Handrail knobs x 3, .45mm Handrail Wire, .3mm pipework wire, Brass Smokebox Door Handwheel, Whitemetal Dummy Coupling Hooks x 2

As always we’ve tried to keep as many scale dimensions as possible, there are a few bits where we have had to change details to fit the B2 chassis. Hopefully these compromises are acceptable and the loco can become an asset to any industrial or heritage fleet!

3D Printing - please note that the raw 3D printed model will always have layers on the surface, there are some tips and tricks on smoothing them on the Railway Mania channel build videos. We do try very hard to get the highest print quality we can and check all models for defects before sale.
