  Livery tests
  More livery tests
Some more colour scheme tests, I do love these liveries but I don't think I will be doing either as they are not really what I was aiming for but I think they look quite nice all the same. I wish I could do real pin stripe lining and lettering.

A couple of years ago I came across a small comment on a 009 modellers Flickr account saying about iconic British narrow gauge locomotive from private railway being on fictitious model railways, i.e. Russel modelled as is today on the WHR running o

This is another exercise on expanding some prototypes of North British locomotive company 2-6-4T narrow gauge tanks. A potential candidate for a future build.
This is one of a series of narrow gauge North British Locomotive Company engines I have planned for future builds. I find that this process helps in planning the project and prevents me from loosing focus. Well this is the theory. I have already bu

Another North British locomotive design for the build list. 2-4-2T and slightly smaller than the others. Nice tank though!
Again this is a larger 2-6-4 North British locomotive Company that has found it self on my build list. I’ve designed this myself. It’s a modified version of the loco I posted a couple weeks ago. It’s fairly generic but I love it and can wait to sta
I’m planning to build 3 more of the top 2-6-2’s, 1 of the 2-6-4 and 1 of the 2-4-2. This will make up the GWR fleet for my layout. Now to hunt down 5 class 08’s that don’t cost the earth!
The plans are ready! Maybe I should pursue a career as a draftsman. I have been thinking about pursuing 3D printing as well as I think it would be a great tool to have under the belt. If anyone needs a locomotive drawn I’m happy to do jobs. Just co
Here are the other three on the build list although I have built the bottom one, I do plan to go back and redo a few bits on it.
As I’m away from my work bench at the moment I’ve been doodling. This is the sadly unsuccessful Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Beyer Peacock 0-4-0+0-4-0 Garratt. Taken from a great but, poor quality picture. Im please with how this has turned out to

Here is my North British Locomotive Company 0-6-6-0 mallet. It’s slightly modified mainly to make it look less colonial, as the original was built for the Burma railway as a meter gauge locomotive. It’s seen here in Great Western livery, although
